Data

Your records and numbers, watched and worked.

Dashboards built on clean data, the manual steps between your systems automated, compliance tracked and renewed, and money recovered from overbilling and rejected claims.

No recovery, no fee on our bill-recovery and medical-aid claim work.

Why Data

The numbers you need and the admin you neglect until it bites

Reports nobody trusts. Data spread across systems that disagree. Lapsed certificates, missed renewals, overbilled accounts, rejected claims. None of it feels urgent until a decision gets made on a bad number, or one of them costs you a contract, a fine, or money you will never get back.

NanoLeap Data does three jobs: it builds the reporting layer, it keeps the compliance current, and it recovers what is owed. The headline is simple: know your numbers and stop losing money to admin.

What we cover

Three jobs, one division

Start with one. We run it, keep it current, and report what it is doing.

01

Analytics

Dashboards on data you can trust.

The reporting layer your teams keep asking for, built and run for you.

Power BI dashboards

We build the dashboards your managers actually open, on the numbers they actually need. You get the report, not a licence and a blank canvas.

Data cleaning and mapping

Duplicates, mismatched formats and fields that mean different things in different systems get cleaned and mapped to one definition. A dashboard is only as honest as the data under it.

Process automation

The manual exports, re-keying and copy-paste steps between your systems get automated away, so the numbers refresh themselves instead of costing someone a morning.

02

Compliance

One dashboard, auto-renewed.

POPIA, OHS, COID, CIPC and licences tracked and renewed before they lapse.

Compliance dashboard and renewals

Most SMEs carry a stack of recurring obligations: POPIA, OHS, fire, COID, CIPC returns, tax, licences, spread across different vendors, and forget half of them until one lapses. We put every certificate in a single dashboard, track every renewal, and renew before the deadline, with a full audit trail. Start with one. We absorb the rest.

Contract and lease watch

Never miss a renewal or escalation.

Every commercial lease and supplier contract hides renewal dates, escalation clauses and deadlines that cost real money when they slip past. We read them all, pull out every date and obligation, and alert you well before each one triggers.

Permit and licence expediting

We navigate the maze for you.

Liquor licences, health permits, signage, business licences: the process is built to be slow and confusing. We handle the paperwork, the submissions and the follow-ups, and move your application through faster.

03

Recovery

No recovery, no fee.

Overbilling and rejected claims worked and recovered, on contingency.

Municipal and utility bill recovery

Municipal accounts are a common source of overbilling for commercial customers. We audit your municipal and utility accounts, find the overcharges, and recover them. You pay a share of what we recover, and nothing if we recover nothing.

Medical-aid claim recovery

Recover what’s been rejected.

Practices lose real money to rejected medical-aid claims. We work your rejections, resubmit them correctly, and recover what is owed, on contingency, so you pay only a share of what comes back.

Data FAQ

Questions, answered

What does NanoLeap Data do?

Three jobs. Analytics: Power BI dashboards built on cleaned and mapped data, with the manual steps between your systems automated. Compliance: POPIA, OHS, COID, CIPC returns and licences tracked and renewed before they lapse. Recovery: overbilling and rejected claims worked on contingency. Start with one and add the rest.

Can you build us a Power BI dashboard?

Yes. We build the dashboards your managers actually open, on the numbers they make decisions on, and we keep them running. Because a dashboard is only as honest as the data under it, we clean and map the underlying data first and automate the refresh steps, so nobody is rebuilding a spreadsheet every month.

What is POPIA compliance and what does my business need to do?

POPIA, South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act, governs how businesses collect, store and use personal information, and has been enforceable since 1 July 2021. To comply you need a lawful basis and consent for the data you hold, security safeguards, a way to handle data-subject requests, and a registered Information Officer. NanoLeap Data tracks these obligations and keeps them current.

Should I buy compliance software or have compliance managed for me?

Compliance software gives you a dashboard you still have to populate and act on; a managed service does the watching, renewing and filing for you. NanoLeap Data is the managed option. It tracks POPIA, OHS, COID, CIPC returns and licences and renews them before they lapse, so compliance becomes an outcome you’re handed rather than another tool you have to run.

When is the CIPC annual return due and how do I file it?

Every registered company and close corporation in South Africa must file a CIPC annual return each year: companies within 30 business days of the anniversary of their registration date, close corporations within their anniversary month. You file and pay the fee on the CIPC portal; miss it and the entity can be deregistered. NanoLeap Data tracks your due date and can handle the filing so it never lapses.

How do I dispute an overcharged municipal bill in South Africa?

Lodge a formal dispute with your municipality in writing, with meter readings and account details, and keep paying the undisputed portion so services aren’t cut. If it isn’t resolved, escalate through the municipality’s dispute process. It’s slow and document-heavy, so NanoLeap Data runs the recovery for you on contingency: you only pay a share of what we actually recover back.

How do I appeal a rejected medical-aid claim in South Africa?

First ask your scheme in writing for the reason for the rejection, then submit an internal appeal with supporting documents from your provider. If the scheme still declines, you can escalate to the Council for Medical Schemes, the statutory regulator. The process takes persistence and paperwork, so NanoLeap Data can pursue the recovery for you on contingency, with no fee unless money comes back.

How do you charge for recovery work?

Bill recovery and medical-aid claim recovery are on contingency: you pay a share of what we recover, and nothing if we recover nothing. Compliance tracking and renewals are a managed monthly service, and analytics work is a setup fee plus monthly. You’re never out of pocket for a recovery that doesn’t land.

What compliance does the dashboard track?

POPIA, OHS, fire, COID, CIPC returns, tax and licences: every certificate in one place, every renewal tracked and renewed before the deadline, with a full audit trail. Start with the obligations that worry you most and add the rest over time.
